Laura O’Keefe

Laura Marie O’Keefe, 35, passed suddenly and tragically on May 12, 2026. She was a mystery girl who’d hardly let anyone know what she was thinking and stayed careful not to leave a trace. She didn’t leave voicemail messages; her work desk was perpetually cleared; her family still haven’t cracked any of her passwords since her passing.

Laura may not have left the mundane, but thankfully she did leave thousands of photos, with stories and clues in each of them. These are the photos Laura took, the subjects of which she chose, she composed, she thought interesting enough to capture for the ages. Laura’s discerning, loving eyes were upon those subjects: those roses, those street signs, those snow-covered Cadillacs.

Of course, being Laura, these photos carry a sense of mystery. Images obscured by shadow or partially blocked out of frame. As if to hold only half of the story, she’s telling us there’s as much beauty in what’s missing as what’s there.

Like Laura: nothing obvious, nothing easy.

Below is just a small sample of the photos exhibiting the style that was uniquely Laura O’Keefe. Soon on this site, these and other photos from Laura will be available.
